![]() ![]() I think there'd be a benefit to them IF it was as seamless as XBSX but realistically it's providing a crapton of support for games that they don't have lower level access to, have to run under strict perameters to work (res and fps) and target many types of hw (not to mention disc licenses probs can't be read, and if console licences can carry over).įor Xbox One consoles going as cheap as £50 these days: it's more than worth it just for backcompat and to have official cloud saves/achievements imo. Splinter Cell franchise is one of those for me which is why I prefer playing that on console > pc (in addition to easy multiplayer w/ friends and achievements) Click to shrink.There's a lot of pc ports for legacy titles back then that are convoluted to setup, don't have proper gamepad support or worse: are flat out busted.
